BEST SEATS IN TOWN
by Thomas F.

One
hot summer day on July 4, 1990, there was a boy named Jim. He never had a buzz cut but his brown hair
was pretty short. His eyes were
blue like his Dad’s. His best
friend’s name was Joe.
Jim
wanted to see fireworks so badly.
He knew they started at eight p.m.
He ran upstairs to get his equipment: a lucky hat he always wore to the fair, a flashlight so he
could see his way to the rides, and a towel for him to sit on. He threw everything in a bag.
When
it was time to go, Jim and his family left in a hurry. They were so excited. When they got there Jim met up with
Joe.
First
they went to the Funhouse. There
were a bunch of mirrors that you had to get past. After that they went on the Ferris wheel. But when they got to the top they got
stuck.
Jim started to panic. They weren’t afraid of being stuck on the Ferris wheel but they wanted to get off to go get a good seat for the fireworks. But when the fireworks began they found out that they had the best seats in town. They sighed with relief and they happily enjoyed the show.
