HUNGRY CAT
by Allie B.

One
day there was a hungry cat who lived in a tree. Her name was Percy.
Percy didn’t like to go out of the tree. One day a girl named Megan had some food. Percy just stared. When the girl was at the tree the cat
jumped at her head. Megan almost
got killed but she just hurt her neck.
Megan never went under the tree again.
The
next day Megan called Percy’s name.
“Oh, Percy! Where are you?”
Percy
jumped out of the tree. It was
that girl that I jumped on yesterday, she thought. “Meow!”
“Okay,”
said Megan. “Let’s go in the house
to play.”
Megan’s
mom saw the cat. Her face turned
red. “Ahh-choo!”
Uh-oh. Megan forgot that her mom was allergic
to cats
“You
are punished young lady. Get in
your room now.”
“Okay. First I have to put the cat outside,
though,” cried Megan.
She
stayed with Percy without letting her mom know. “I am going in the house to get some things for us to
eat. I’ll be right back,” she
shouted as she put Percy in the tree.
“Mom,
I’m starving. Pretty please can I
have food?” asked Megan.
“Okay,
only if you eat it in your room.
Make sure you clean up the mess.
And stay in there until I come up.
Ahh-choo!” sneezed her mom.
“What do you want to eat?”
“I’ll
have two ham-and-cheese sandwiches,” said Megan.
“Wait
a second,” said her mom. “Why do
you want two sandwiches?”
“Ahhh,
I’m very very hungry because I missed breakfast. Pretty please with sugar on top?”
“Okay. Here you go.”
Megan
went to her room. She opened the
window and started to climb out with the food for Percy, but she got stuck when
the window closed on her back! She
struggled to get out. She
struggled some more. But the
window closed all the way. What do
I do now? Megan thought. She
wished it hadn’t closed. Finally
she got out.
When
she was bringing the sandwiches to Percy, Megan tripped over a root of a
tree. Percy saw Megan trip. Megan couldn’t walk because she had
twisted her ankle. Right away
Percy went to find Megan’s mom.
“Where
is she?” said Percy to herself.
“Huh, huh. She’s in the
computer room doing her work.”
“Ahh-choo!”
When
Megan’s mom saw Percy she went up to Megan’s room and saw that Megan wasn’t
there.
“WHERE
IS MEGAN?” she said.
Percy
rubbed against Megan’s legs and meowed.
“What
do you want?”
Percy
ran outside. Megan’s mom followed
her.
“Ahh-choo!”
You
should have seen Megan’s mom’s face hen she saw Megan. “We are going to a doctor!” she said.
Megan
got a cast.

The
next day Megan went outside to see Percy with her mother.
“You
can keep Percy,” her mother said.
“Really? Why?”
“Percy
was extremely helpful to tell me that you were hurt. How about we build a house for Percy outside so I won’t
sneeze all the time?”
So from that day on, Percy got her food.
